Hello. I’m Brent Pope, a writer. But you already knew that.

I’ve been writing in the advertising industry for over 15 years. Before that, I was in the ministry. Weird, huh? My career has included three or so agencies as well as some freelance gigs and entrepreneurial stuff. I’ve been everything from a generic copywriter to a creative director to an quasi-inventor pitching my software on local news shows and in newspaper interviews. I like writing. I really do. But I also dig how emerging media is changing the game for what we advertising folks have traditionally done.

On top of all this, I’m also into what I call emerging opportunities. To me, it’s about the link between creativity and technological innovation, and how sometimes, the medium is the message. Except when it’s not a message and it’s something more engaging instead.
